Special information for participants
Don’t speak the language perfectly? No problem!
Our volunteers speak many languages (English, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish) and are ready to help with translation. Everyone will find someone they can communicate with comfortably.
Event languages:
The event will be conducted primarily in English and Ukrainian, but we’ll provide transcriptions of the main presentations in other languages via QR codes. Don’t let language barriers stop you from joining us!
First time at an event like this?
Don’t worry! Many participants will be in the same situation. Our hosts will ensure no one feels left out—we welcome everyone with open arms, regardless of where you come from or what your experiences are.

🎨 Art Therapy Workshop and Intuitive Collage
Led by: Agnieszka Nowicka (ORO TORTUGA)
A graduate of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, a jewelry artist whose works have been presented at the National Museum in China and at the “Voice of Women” exhibition in Poznań. She currently explores psychoanalytical and philosophical knowledge and runs the “INITIATION” studio, where she organizes workshops for creating your own amulets.

Where?
Łódź – a city of possibilities and culture
Łódź is a city with a unique character and rich history that has been undergoing a spectacular transformation in recent years. Once known as a textile industry center, today it’s vibrant with cultural and artistic life.
Why Łódź? We chose this city as the location for our gathering due to its central position on the map of Poland—it’s an ideal point that’s easy to reach from every corner of the country!
Piotrkowska Street – the main artery of the city and one of the longest commercial streets in Europe, full of atmospheric cafes, restaurants, and pubs. This is where the heart of the city beats, and in the evening, it lights up with thousands of lights.
🪄 Magical Fun Fact! Right next to the YMCA, there’s a unique Harry Potter-themed cafe! You’ll find cauldrons, wands, Bertie Bott’s beans, and other magical gadgets. You can try the famous butterbeer and taste warm snacks in a Hogwarts atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to continue socializing after our event!
Worth visiting after the event:
- Manufaktura – a former factory, now a modern shopping and entertainment center with numerous restaurants, cinemas, museums, and shops.
- OFF Piotrkowska – a creative space full of designer boutiques, alternative food venues, and meeting places for creative people.
- EC1 – a revitalized power plant that houses the Science and Technology Center, Planetarium, and National Center for Film Culture.
- Księży Młyn – a historic red-brick workers’ settlement, testimony to the city’s industrial past, now a charming corner full of artistic studios.
- Rose Passage – a magical place at Piotrkowska Street 3, where the walls of the tenement house are covered with thousands of mirror pieces, creating a spectacular visual effect.
- Łódź murals – large-format paintings adorning building walls, creating an unusual open-air art gallery.

Why YMCA?
YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association), known in Poland also as “Auntie Imcia,” is an organization with over 175 years of tradition, operating in more than 100 countries worldwide. Its mission has always been to support the harmonious development of body, mind, and spirit.
The international character of YMCA perfectly aligns with the idea of our gathering—creating a bridge between cultures and people from different parts of the world. It’s no coincidence that we chose this place for our first meeting!

How to get to YMCA in Łódź?
YMCA in Łódź is located to 22 minutes walking distance from Łódź Fabryczna Railway Station.
By train: Direct connections to Łódź Fabryczna from Warsaw, Poznań, Gdynia and Gdańsk, Białystok, Szczecin, and Kielce. Check connections and buy tickets in the e-podróżnik app or on the PKP website.
From Katowice: By bus to Łódź Fabryczna station or by train to Łódź Kaliska station (a bit further from the location).
Note: It’s best to reach the venue by public transport. In downtown Łódź, especially around Piotrkowska Street, parking can be difficult, and navigating by car can be challenging. If you decide to come by car, it’s better to park it a bit further from the event location.

Do I need to register in advance?
Yes, registration is necessary due to the limited number of spots (only 60!). Registration is available until all spots are filled.
Is the event paid?
The main event is free. Only the additional workshops led by Agnieszka Nowicka will be paid (details coming soon).
What will I gain by participating in this event?
New connections, contacts, space for relaxation and creativity, and most importantly—a sense of belonging to a supportive community. Additionally, the opportunity to win prizes in contests and meet people who have achieved professional success in Poland!
